If you have significant tooth gaps, discolouration, or chipped teeth, veneers could help you get the white, even smile of your dreams.
Made to cover your natural teeth, veneers can hide imperfections and help you achieve the smile you’ve always wanted. Book an appointment with our dental professionals to determine if veneers are the right solution to transform your smile.
Made from either porcelain or ceramic, veneers are thin shells that cover the front of your existing tooth. Because they are placed over your existing teeth, you will have the same stability, foundation, and bite alignment you’ve always had.
Veneers may be an excellent choice if:
During your first appointment, our dentist will administer a local anesthetic so that pain is minimized and you are as comfortable as possible during your procedure.
We’ll carefully remove a thin layer of enamel from the front of your tooth to make room for the veneer. Next, your dentist will take custom impressions so the veneers can be snugly and seamlessly applied. Once your teeth are prepped, we’ll apply temporary veneers to tide you over until your permanent ones have been made. The temporary veneers are thin porcelain or ceramic shells that are affixed using a durable bonding agent.
During your second appointment, we’ll remove the temporary veneers and install your perfectly designed permanent ones, leaving you with a smooth, perfect smile.
Because veneers are permanent and cannot be removed, they are treated the same as natural teeth. This means brushing and flossing twice a day, along with scheduling regular professional dental exams and cleanings.
Although veneers are designed for long-term wear, they can still become cracked or discoloured just like natural teeth. If this happens, they will need to be replaced.
