If you have one or more missing teeth, dental implants may be a good option for you. Not only are they a permanent solution to tooth loss, but they are also fully secure, comfortable, and look, feel, and act like natural teeth.
Implants start from $4000. Please contact us to ask about our Free Implant Consultation. We’ll discuss your options with you and help you decide if dental implants are right for you.
Dental implants are surgically installed artificial teeth that replace a missing or extracted tooth. Dental implants are an excellent choice when you want a secure, fully functional replacement tooth.
Unlike dental bridges, dental implants are surgically inserted into the jawbone and do not require adjacent teeth for support.
Before implants are considered, our friendly staff will thoroughly examine your teeth and jaw and take x-rays to determine if you have enough bone tissue to support the implant. From there, we will discuss the entire procedure with you, what you can expect, healing time, and care instructions. We will also address any questions or concerns you may have so you are fully prepared and comfortable with the procedure.
After anesthesia is administered, we will remove the decayed tooth (if necessary) and insert the metal implant directly into the jawbone.
Once the implant is inserted, a period of healing time must occur. This is so the implant can integrate with the jawbone itself, become fully stabilized, and act as the root of the new artificial tooth.
Once everything is healed, we will take impressions of your dental implant and surrounding gums to create a new tooth, or crown, that will blend in with your natural teeth.
Once your tissue and jawbone have healed, an abutment, or post, will be inserted onto the metal implant. This serves as the connector between the implant and the new artificial tooth.
Your newly created crown is then attached to the abutment and fitted so it is comfortable and stable.
Because dental implants are permanent and cannot be removed, they are treated the same as natural teeth. This means following a daily brushing and flossing routine, along with regular professional dental exams and cleanings.
